Terms, privacy, and data processing basics
This page explains the core rules for using Kaya as a client or service provider, what account data we keep, how listings and referrals are treated, and how profile, session, and marketplace activity may be processed to operate the product safely.
Using Kaya responsibly
Kaya is a marketplace-style product where people can browse offers, save ideas, and interact with travel and service listings. By creating an account, you agree to use the platform lawfully, provide accurate profile information, and avoid impersonation, spam, abuse, fraudulent activity, scraping, or attempts to interfere with the service.
Clients may browse, save, and later book or request services when those flows are enabled. Service providers may create and manage listings, visibility settings, availability, referral activity, and business-facing profile details. We may limit, suspend, or remove accounts or content that creates risk for users, violates these rules, or harms the platform experience.
Kaya may review listings, profile edits, usernames, public images, and activity patterns to maintain marketplace quality. This includes checking for duplicated content, deceptive pricing, prohibited services, fake engagement, or attempts to manipulate search visibility and referrals.
- Account information such as name, username, image, and contact details should stay truthful and up to date.
- Providers are responsible for the accuracy of listing descriptions, media, pricing signals, and availability.
- Listings, profile changes, and marketplace activity may be reviewed or moderated to maintain trust and quality.
- Referral codes and referral links must not be used in misleading, deceptive, or self-referral schemes.
- We may remove content or restrict access where there is fraud risk, abuse, legal exposure, or repeated violations.
What information Kaya may collect
We may collect account details you provide during onboarding, including your display name, username, email address, avatar, biography, and optional contact handles such as Telegram, WhatsApp, phone number, or Instagram. We also process technical information needed to secure sessions, recognize devices, and keep the service working.
Marketplace usage data may include role selection, created listings, liked or saved offers, profile changes, referral activity, and interactions that help us improve discovery, visibility, and product safety. We use this information to operate Kaya, personalize the experience, prevent abuse, and support account recovery or moderation.
Some profile and listing information may be public or visible to other users depending on your role and product settings. Internal service logs, security events, and moderation notes may also be stored when necessary to investigate suspicious access, spam, payment-risk behavior, or policy violations.
- We use profile data to create and maintain your account and display public-facing profile elements where needed.
- We use session and security data to authenticate users, protect access, and investigate suspicious activity.
- We may use marketplace signals such as views, likes, saves, or listing interactions to improve ranking and product decisions.
- Public listings and profile content may be visible to other users depending on your role and product settings.
- Support requests and moderation communication may be retained to resolve disputes, abuse reports, and account issues.
How data is handled inside the project
Kaya processes personal and marketplace data for core operational purposes: authentication, onboarding, account management, listing publication, referral attribution, analytics, safety review, and feature development. Access to data should be limited to what is necessary for running and improving the service.
When a user chooses the provider role, additional business-related data such as listing content, referral code usage, profile completion, and performance signals may be stored so provider tools can function properly. Data may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain the account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and preserve service integrity.
Users can request updates to their account information and may request deletion, although some records may need to be retained for audit, security, anti-fraud, referral verification, moderation history, or legal compliance. Deleting an account may not instantly erase every operational log or backup copy.
- We process onboarding and role data to route users into the correct client or provider experience.
- We process referral data to attribute invitations and support future referral rewards or payout workflows.
- We process listing and engagement data to power moderation, visibility controls, and business analytics.
- We may keep service logs, device signals, and abuse-prevention records where needed to secure the platform.
- Users can request account updates or deletion, subject to records we must retain for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
